I was about to personify my idolization of David Hasselhoff by dedicating SEVERAL posts on MayorAwesome.com to images of him and his music. He was a fucking hero when I was growing up. Now there's this video of his daughter PLEADING with him to stop drinking and he's such an alchy that he can't even realize that his very relationship with his daughter is in jeopardy just because he can't put down the bottle. I'm sick. I'm absolutely sick.
I'm also drunk off my ass. I think I'm going to puke. Oh shit. Here I go. Awwww. OH! All over the keyboard. Damnit Mayor! I just got a new keyboard after the cat spilled that glass of wine on it too. Fuckshitdamnasshell.
So at work I whipped up a little program that hashes a string. We were making sure that SHA256 works the same in C# as it does in python. It was a simple one off program that took about 3 mintues to write, and it's only useful for one thing. But I added a little awesomeness to it. You may get a kick out of it. You don't have to be a nerd to get a cheap thrill. You can download the file here .
Update 5/13/2007: A friend of mine pointed out that downloading an executable file from an untrusted website is bad juju. I totally agree with him and I usually stray away from such devilry. I would recommend to everyone to never download an executable file and then run it. It opens you up to viruses, trojans, and God knows what else. I can only say that this program is a simple hashing program and nothing nefarious, but my feelings wouldn't be hurt if you didn't download it because you were a little weary. If you're dying to see what it is, go to a public library and download it there. I'd post the code but it's technically not mine to post since I wrote it at work. It's a simple SHA256 hash and some images. No more or less.
I just got back from Red River Gorge Kentucky. Some rock climbing buddies went down for the week to camp and climb our asses off. This was my first outdoor climbing trip. It was great to get out of the gym and climb out in nature. The weather was great the first day we were there, but ended up being pretty soggy. I'm glad to be home and eat a real meat again. I lived off of cliff bars, pizza and whisky for almost four days. Below are the pics I took and a video. The best quality video can be had by right clicking and saving (104 MB mp4), okay quality at Google Video, meh quality at YouTube and here are the Flickr Photos. But just for kicks and easy access here's the google video embeded:
I had a great time and I just want to thank everyone that came with for making it so much fun. I can't wait for Devil's Lake in two weeks!
